I finally decided to go computer Vs CD's. I had checked out several programs and found yours the day before my last gig.
What you offered was impressive the price was even more impressive, Since this is just a part time business with about one gig a month I needed the most bang for my buck.
I downloaded the night before the Wedding, I trained myself on the software all of 15 minutes. It is straightforward and quite intuitive. I personally like to run in manual on everything. I guess it is old habit from my Radio Days, I also like the control.
Your instant search is outstanding and the capability to drag and drop to cue, playlist or player is invaluable. As is the ability to drag, hold and drop into a playing player for instant last minute rotation when needed.
You gave me the ability to add requests effortlessly in seconds, or fractions of a second in a couple of cases, and to keep the reception crowd going non stop.
This helped motivate the bride's father to come up with an extra $500 cash for me to play for 4 additional hours as family and friends partied into the wee hours of the night.
The reception became in effect a “dance club” thanks to the combination of the capability your software gave me to work my library quickly and effortlessly and my skills and talents to read and move a crowd.

I love this product, and use it not only for home but for our special needs dances as well once the playlists are set up I can be on the floor helping with the kids and let the program dj the dances...go figure, I thought I'd never give up winamp.

I had been working with SAM Party DJ for several days (nights) editing playlists and crosses between songs for a wedding party of my best friends.
At the last moment I couldn't make it to the wedding, but all the work was done so I taught the software basics to someone over the phone in 15 minutes, and they played the music at the wedding, including a well-timed special song for the moment of the kiss (everyone cried!)
I later received countless compliments on the song selection from many of the guests and, being an amateur, this was very exciting for me and I'm now considering a 'side career'.
I couldn't have done such professional work (matching the exact moment and type of mixing between each two songs) without a tool like SAM Party DJ. It made me re-discover my love and appreciation for music, a thing which all of us (users and programmers) share.
